Jacob Welhouse serves as the Director of Architecture at JKA, where he has dedicated over a decade to driving innovative design and high-quality building solutions. He previously worked at R.W. James & Associates and Kim Grant Design, Inc., gaining valuable experience in forensic architecture and high-end residential design that he carries through his career today.
Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Architecture from NewSchool of Architecture & Design. He is NCARB and LEED AP certified and is also a member of the American Institute of Architects.
The most inspiring parts of Jacob’s job are helping clients overcome challenges and collaborating with the Childress Companies’ talented staff and experts. His areas of expertise include residential building, land development, building envelope design and analysis, waterproofing, and forensic investigation.
Outside of work, Jacob enjoys coaching his kids in baseball, softball, and volleyball.
