Jax Kneppers began his career as an apprentice in his father’s carpentry business, and progressed through roles as a framer, fitter, and supervisor during his college years in Durban South Africa. Upon completing his college education, he, accompanied by his eldest brother and newlywed wife Judy, undertook the construction of a sailboat. The Kneppers family embarked on a journey that spanned several years, sailing from their residence in South Africa to many ports, ending up on the shores of the United States. Shortly thereafter, they established their own families and initiated their professional endeavors within the construction engineering industry.
Founded in 1989, Jax Kneppers Associates has always strived to provide detailed and thoughtful solutions to complex constructions, engineering and architectural matters with integrity. Based in Walnut Creek, our team provides a wide range of services including forensic engineering, litigation support, expert witness, building envelope consulting, architectural design, property condition assessments, construction management, delay claim analysis, and cost estimating.
In 2020, JKA became part of the Childress Companies – a national engineering and consulting firm headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Along with 100+ professionals within the Childress Companies, JKA now provides the same expertise across the USA and internationally.
