JKA performed an in-depth forensic investigation which identified building envelope issues. Following the project litigation and JKA’s expert witness testimony, JKA was hired to design a new exterior shell for the hotel, pedestrian bridge and arcade amenity. The building exteriors were removed down to structural studs and new insulated wall assemblies, waterproofing, and finishes were installed. New mechanical units were integrated into the perforated wall system and a new exterior lighting design enhanced the hospitality experience. The architectural design team modernized the overall aesthetics with a metal panel facade and perforated metal detailing, improving the sustainability and longevity of the hotel resort.
