JKA was hired to investigate reported water intrusion and cracks within the existing EIFS facade. Following the project litigation and JKA’s expert witness testimony, JKA’s architectural team designed a new exterior rainscreen wall assembly for the hotel. The building exteriors were removed down to structural studs and new insulated wall assemblies, waterproofing, and finishes were installed. JKA maintained the existing hotel brand and image while upgrading the durability and performance of the wall system with a single skin aluminum panel facade.
